16 Months Old

My Tyler is 16 months old now (well, tomorrow), and he is becoming just so much fun to be around! He runs around the house now (walking didn't last long, he went straight to running), he also dances if there's any music playing. He understands a lot more now too, he understands me when I tell him it's nappy time, when I tell him I need to change his butt, when I tell him it's bath time, when I ask for a snuggle (I don't always get the snuggle, but at least he understands me) and when I ask him if he's hungry, etc... This month he has learned and changed a lot, he's almost a whole new kid. He points at everything now, and sometimes when I say "Tyler" he even points at himself. His new favorite toy is his "Tiny" (a stuffed toy from the show Dinosaur Train), he calls her "Nee Nee" and when he hands her to me he expects me to sing a song (a song that Tiny sings on an episode of Dinosaur Train). He loves his "Nee Nee" he even gives her kisses sometimes. Words he says now are "Mama", "Nee Nee" (Tiny),"ba"(ball),"baa" (both sheep sound and how he says bath), "bye bye" (he also waves), and "ma" (more - he will also point his finger at his hand, his attempt at the sign for more) - well that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

We did have an incident a few days ago, see the problem with Tyler running is he is also clumsy. He ran into my bedroom when I was sitting at the computer desk, I swiveled my chair towards him when he fell (I want to say tripped, but there was nothing there to trip over).  He hit his face on the side of my computer chair which left a bruise/scrape just under and next to his eye. All I can say though is that I'm glad he didn't hurt his eye in the process, he got awfully close!
