Happy Birthday Kylee Ann!

5 years old already, it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long. I still wonder about her, I wonder what she would have looked like, what her favorite toys would have been, even if she would have enjoyed being around her little brother -or not. -;) Well, for Kylee’s 5 year I’ve decided to create something in her memory, so I learned how to crochet a teddy bear and decided that I could make these bears for other people who have also lost their babies. I gave the bear angel wings to represent our angels and have the bear holding a heart. I thought a heart was appropriate since Kylee took a large part of my heart with her when she left. I can still feel the hole to this day, and any mother who has lost a child will tell you the same. I’m calling these bears Kylee’s Kuddles. I still have a few kinks to work out but overall I think my prototype bear turned out nice. – Happy birthday sweet girl, mommy loves you!!!

We actually spent the last couple of days in California. We decided it was a good idea to try Tyler out on a plane before our big trip to China. He did great on the plane, he fell asleep both times right at take off. -:)
Tyler is now 1 and a half as of yesterday! He has his next Dr. appointment on the 26th so I’ll find out his measurement then, but I can tell you that he’s still a big boy for his age! He now know most of his alphabet too (I’m guessing about 2/3), and recently one of his favorite things to say is “Ah-oh”, sometimes he will even drop something on purpose just to say it. –It’s very cute though!
Tyler also had his first haircut last Saturday, I decided to cut it myself just with the clippers we have. The clippers have adjustments so that you can cut the hair to different lengths. I went with 1 inch. I was worried that Tyler would just scream the whole time, but it actually went pretty well. We put him in his highchair and first thing I did was let him hold the clippers for a minute, then I turned it on and had him touch it –that part kind of freaked him out a bit- so I shut it off again. After which we decided we would just have to try it and probably just let him cry. When I started cutting his hair he did cry a bit, but then he seemed to get used to it pretty quickly, so he actually only cried for a couple minutes. I was happy that he did so well, and now check out my handsome little man with his new haircut:
