3rd Birthday

Wow, I'm behind on my blog! - Time to catch up a bit! First and foremost, Tyler turned 3! It's hard to believe how fast time goes sometimes! For his third birthday we planned on taking him to Lagoon, but due to illness, and then weather, our Lagoon plans got pushed a few weeks later. That's alright though, he had a blast and the weather was perfect! The hard part was trying to get him to change rides. He would just keep wanting to ride the same thing over and over -lol- that's alright though, whatever makes him happy right?

We also started potty training almost right after his birthday, he decided that, "diapers are for babies" - he actually said that one day and didn't want to put his diaper on, so I decided it was a hint to start training. He did great, only 1 pee accident the first week, 1 poo accident the second week, then no accidents since - he even sleeps in his underpants now! Well, so now that he is doing good with the potty, I decided to look into possibly getting him into a preschool. I found 1 that has room for him, but then I started having doubts. I'm thinking it may be better to wait, especially since this potty thing is still new to him - he still can't even pull his pants up by himself yet. He is getting more independent about wanting to use the potty by himself at home now, but when he does he always comes back naked -lol- Speech wise his new thing is starting almost every sentence with, "yeah but" - it was cute at first, but now it's almost annoying, makes him sound like he's stuttering. :/
Also, due to Tyler constantly wanting to sleep with daddy, we finally decided it would just be easier to move the queen size bed into Ty's room. As it was his room had his bed and the queen mattress on the floor, it was impossible to even walk through the room, so eventually I just decided enough is enough, so we switched beds. Put the queen in Tyler's room, and the twin in our spare/daddy's room. One thing I'm finding now though is it's hard to find children's bedding in a queen size.
Mid-October my husband had a few days off from school, so we decided to take a mini-vacation. We drove down to Lake Powell. I was a bit concerned about how Tyler would do with driving so far, but he did really well. Tyler has been wanting to play in sand for a while now (since China) so we planned on letting him play on the beach, problem was, sand pails and shovels were out of season, so we just made do with some items we bought from the dollar store. He ended up with a Halloween bucket and some kitchen utensils, but hey, he had fun. We had also scheduled a boat tour for later and I ended up misreading the clock so we left the beach part early, but in the end it was probably a good thing we did, since we ended up getting the car hopelessly stuck in the sand on our drive back -lol- in the end it took somebody coming by with a truck to finally pull us out. :/ The boat ride was nice - beautiful!

For Halloween this year Tyler wanted to be Iron Man. He loves the Avengers! So to match with Iron Man I decided to dress as Captain America. I wanted daddy to dress as Hulk, but like usual, daddy didn't dress up. - Oh well, my Iron Man was cute though! We had a hard time getting a picture though because he was trying to show off his Iron Man moves as well, so most of the pictures were blurry. We did get this one though, even though my double chins aren't so cute, Ty was very cute, he was shooting his hand repulsors -lol
